In 2005 when Amazon was known primarily as a marketplace for selling books, I registered an Amazon Sellers account. I listed women's Havaianna sandals embellished with crystals:) (Before Havaianna began making their crystal-embellished sandals!)
Over the years, I took several "Selling on Amazon" courses. I attempted everything from retail arbitrage to private label, flying twice to China to source products.
Being a lifelong crafter, I picked up a new hobby, making and listing handcrafted wreaths for sale on Amazon. This was a nice little side hustle bringing in $3k-4k/month.
I should also mention that I am a serial entrepreneur! I love creating online businesses such as "Gamebaes," which is a site selling custom college clothing for women.
While enjoying my side hobby on Amazon, I was also busy fixing & flipping Real Estate, eventually turning the last two projects in Maui into vacation rentals. (Sea-renity and Blue Pearl on AirBnB)
Fast forward to 2020 when due to the pandemic, all travel (& my income) stopped, and divorce nearly broke me. I was suddenly without any income and had three children at home. This was the lowest point in my life:(
Thankfully, because of my wreath-making abilities, I was able to put that skill into high gear and generated 9.188k in sales in May 2020. I was shocked & so very grateful!
Eventually, I made as much as 21k in a single month. I came through that experience stronger than ever, along with a desire to help women in need, get started making money online.
That is why I began Money Making Crafter to help women needing to earn a living, gain the skills necessary to build a money-generating business from home.
Thank you for reading my story. I look forward to getting to know you.
